Accessibility at the Heart of Every Journey: A Family’s Experience with TokudAw
At TokudAw, we believe that the joy of discovering Japan should be accessible to everyone, no matter their mobility needs. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a family visiting Tokyo on the final day of their cruise through Japan. Their chosen destination was Tokyo Disneyland, a magical finale to their trip.
The family consisted of a grandmother, traveling with her two grandchildren. They were going on a cruise trip around Japan. The grandmother uses a wheelchair, and when planning their trip to Japan, her daughter searched specifically for a company that could offer accessible travel arrangements for off-shore excursions at each port, while also creating an itinerary enjoyable for all three generations. That search led them to TokudAw.
Lovely Family in our accessible van. Our accessible vans double up as private ambulances as well when we are not doing tours!
When we met the family to see them off for their Disneyland day, we took the opportunity to hear more about their experience with us. We were delighted by their feedback and grateful for their thoughtful insights.
“Everything was perfect”
According to the family, the accessibility support was seamless from beginning to end. Every transfer, activity, and sightseeing stop was thoughtfully planned with the grandmother’s needs in mind. The vehicles provided were wheelchair-friendly and always arrived on time. The grandchildren shared that the detailed itinerary helped them enjoy each day fully, knowing that accommodations were already arranged for their grandmother.
One family member described their overall experience as perfect, noting that no changes to the plan were needed. The ease of travel, combined with engaging activities, allowed everyone to focus on making memories rather than worrying about logistics.
Opportunities for growth
We also asked if there were any areas for improvement. The family’s response reassured us that our current services met and even exceeded their expectations. That said, we know there is always room to listen, learn, and refine. Feedback like theirs reminds us how important it is to continue innovating and staying attuned to the needs of our clients.
Looking ahead
Accessibility is not just a service. Inclusivity and catering as much as we can to everyone is part of our philosophy. Every traveler deserves to feel comfortable, confident, and cared for on their journey through Japan. We thank this family for allowing us to support their adventure and for sharing their story with us.
