We work with our guests to ensure their accessibility needs are understood and accommodated, whatever their individual requirements might be. We'll make sure that the locations you visit are accessible, wheelchair-friendly, and have the correct facilities to support guests with disabilities.
Our passionate team has many years of experience providing tours for guests with disabilities or who require additional mobility and accessibility support. We can provide wheelchair-accessible vehicles, personal mobility vehicles and flexible schedules to ensure that everybody is able to get the very best out of their experience in Japan.

The 2025 Tokyo Deaflympics
TokudAw are proud supporters of the 2025 Tokyo Deaflympics. Organised by the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) and occurring every four years, this multi-sport event for deaf athletes will be a major event on the Japanese sporting calendar, and will see international athletes and spectators travelling to Tokyo to participate and celebrate athletic excellence.
If you are planning a trip to Japan for the Deaflympics, you can rely on us to arrange your trip and ensure any guests with disabilities receive the support they need. We have extensive experience in welcoming deaf travellers, and we can provide text-based communication for those that need it.
What services do we offer?
We tailor our tours to our guests and this includes providing dedicated services to visitors who require a wheelchair, have restricted mobility or any other accessibility requirements. Many of our groups are families, and we ensure that everyone from the very young to the elderly can travel with us in safety and comfort.

Certified nursing assistants who can help care for family members who may need additional assistance (e.g using the bathroom, showering, mobility support etc)
Adaptable itineraries which can be modified at short notice.
International Sign Language interpreters and guides.
Text-based messaging for those affected by deafness or hearing impairment.
Flexible and capable driver-guides who can assist with your individual requirements, and drop you off and pick you up wherever is most convenient for you.
Electric wheelchair rental services as required for different areas, activities or terrain.
Arrangement for peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis dialysis during travel in Japan.
List of emergency care services in the areas that you would be visiting during your trip.
A concierge service available throughout your trip.

How do I book a tour?
mail Send us a message using our booking form with your planned travel dates, and the general region you would like to visit. Don't worry if it's vague, we love coming up with suggestions!
place We will put together a blend of the best-known sights and lesser-known, authentically Japanese locations – along with some truly hidden gems – and send it back for you to consider.
travel_explore Once you're happy with the plans, we'll get to work booking restaurants and hotels, a delicious mix of Michelin-starred and authentic local flavours, tailored to your likes and dietary requirements. Please let us know if you have any underlying medical condition that we need to be aware of.
